Agreeing with everyone on the moral indeed. Burnout is a tough thing to deal with. Kudos to you for putting together a story that we can all relate to. Gotta take care of yourself otherwise...Hope you had fun while executing the boards.

Thank you Vanessa!

I'm glad to hear that the message is getting through! I lived a burn out personally and have seen friends and colegues also going through it. It is sad to see it happening and no one should go through it, hope this film helps in even a tiny way :D

We did have fun bording it actually sometimes hahaha, mostly with the horses horsing around it was quite fun!

Hi Andres! Thank you for your honest feedback, we really appreciate it!

I'm glad you did enjoy the story and the way of telling it even if the drawings didn't seem so appealing at first, I like that you kept watching it even if it was not so attractive at first, probably the music also helped a lot to keep you hooked.

Thank you so much Kim! Teresa and I really appreciate your comments!

You are right because now that you mention it, LOVE was so present in this experience specially because Teresa and I are family and we got to work together on it as a team.

The story also comes from a personal experience of my own burnout, and her, working hard on my recovery. We've shared a lot of ourselves, our experiences and what we care about in there, that does make us feel really proud thank you :3

The hardest part was to make it understandable for most people, specially from while wanting to appeal to several cultures at the same time. I'm glad it is finally reading propperly because it can get frustrating to have the feeling of what you want to say but sometimes the idea doesnt get through so easily to read for others.

Thank you again for your kind words, we treasure them!!! :D

You are so sweet Kim and I agree that this class has been incredible. A couple of films almost made me cry on the spot because the personal aspect was so present, I am really amazed by it and I love to see so many of this films in here!

Take care!

Kind regards,
Diego and Teresa

I absolutely think your story and the way you've presented it has universal appeal. And I hope you don't mind if I say this, something else I love about it is a sense of quirkiness, that I find really special. I really love that about your piece. I would argue it's one of my favorites, because of that. Quirkiness is a part of my story too. If you ever have a chance, I think you'll like my story too ; ) Thanks to great feedback, I revised it this week to fix pacing and confusion issues. https://www.storyxperiential.com/media/d16b900f-cc51-4c4c-ac39-ca2c0e2caff1

This has come a long way! The story is so relatable and your frog is absolutely adorable! I like the choice of music and that there was text to explain the more complicated frames. It does a great job, and I think it make a super fun short animation. Love it so much!

I really like the story of a burnout because its very relatable and something we all end up doing. I have a soft spot for frogs too as i grew up catching them and i find them comical to watch, they exude so much personality. I found the drawings unclear from one to the next. Keep working on the attachement of the audience and the frog to really sell home the feeling sorry for the frong and wanting to see him survive.

Hi team Raining Frogs!

Wow, I absolutely loved the music throughout this storyreel and how every panel lined up perfectly with the beat. The song choice also added to the humor and drama behind the story! I would agree that adding narration could have made things a bit more clear, but other than that, great job and keep up the great work!

I like how goofy the tone is and how imaginative it is! Frogs and horses are a funny sight. i like the message and theme of understanding your limitations but also looking after yourself. However, I am unclear with the journey Mr Charcoal goes through and also the tornado should take more time to build in the beginning. Id like to see Mr Charcoal at his every day life before it hits. Narration or dialogue would help make the story-building stronger so we can see the characters relationships and understand the narrative.

I really enjoyed your music and animations but I was unclear as to what the story was actually about. It seems like a tornado rips Mr Charcoal away from a news studio and spits him out at a farm and he falls in love with a horse at a horse farm. I feel like your story would've benefited from narration because I found the descriptions beneath some of your drawings to be helpful in understanding your narrative more than the drawings. I'm unclear as to what the theme is about but if I had to take a guess based on your title, I'd say it's about learning to unwind and de-stress?

Mr. Charcoal in Recovery-Land

Mr. Charcoal learns to take care of itself in Recovery-Land

Moral:
In order to really take care, oneself must accept its current skills and limitations!

The storyline:
The frog, Mr. Charcoal, creates a tornado because of his bad decisions of not taking care of himself leading him to a burnout, represented by the tornado and by turning himself red instead of green

The tornado eventually sends him far away and also destroys the City

He recovers at the farm with the horses but starts to get injured and doesn't take care of himself again so he collapses one more time

But the difference this time is that after collapsing he takes care of himself and balances its health better, achieving better life conditions.

Special thank you to everyone who gave us feedback. It really made the difference from StoryXperiential teams and outside friends.

Special Thanks:

Team:
Raining Frogs
